Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

Last Updated: January 14, 2026

1. General Provisions & Scope

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs the usage of Kuruma Ventures' algorithmic risk management infrastructure and notification gateways. By accessing our API or SMTP relays, you acknowledge that this infrastructure is designated as Mission-Critical.

1.2 B2B Enterprise Exclusivity

The Service is strictly limited to Business-to-Business (B2B) usage. Personal use, consumer marketing, or non-commercial broadcasting is strictly prohibited. All "Tenants" (clients) must provide valid business entity registration documents upon request (KYB - Know Your Business).

2. Nature of Communications (Traffic Patterns)

Kuruma Ventures is an event-driven platform. We strictly differentiate between "Marketing Traffic" (Prohibited) and "System Alerts" (Permitted).

2.1 Definition of Transactional Bursts

Our moderators anticipate high-volume "Burst Traffic" patterns. These bursts must correlate directly with external supply chain events (e.g., Port Closures, Tariff Changes, Weather Alerts).

  • Permitted: Order confirmations, shipment delays, customs clearance notifications, security alerts, API downtime notices.
  • Strictly Prohibited: Newsletters, promotional offers, cold outreach, "re-engagement" campaigns, or any content not directly triggered by a user action or system event.

3. Prohibited Content & Industries

To maintain the integrity of our high-reputation IP pools, Kuruma Ventures refuses service to high-risk industries.

🚫 Restricted Categories

  • Crypto / Blockchain / NFT promotions
  • Adult content or services
  • Gambling / Betting / Casino
  • Payday Loans / Credit Repair
  • Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)
  • Pharmaceuticals (unverified)

✅ Allowed Categories

  • Enterprise SaaS Notifications
  • FinTech (Institutional)
  • IoT Device Status Reports

4. Zero-Tolerance Spam Policy

We adhere to the strictest interpretation of the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, and CASL. Violation of any point below results in immediate termination of the Workspace without refund.

4.1 No Purchased Lists

The use of purchased, rented, or "scraped" email lists is forbidden. All recipients must have a direct, prior relationship with the Tenant.

4.2 Mandatory Double Opt-In (DOI)

Kuruma Ventures requires evidence of consent. For high-volume senders, we enforce a strict Double Opt-In verification process for all end-users receiving alerts. You must be able to provide timestamped proof of consent for every recipient.

4.3 Thresholds & Metrics

Accounts exceeding the following thresholds will be automatically suspended for audit:

  • Bounce Rate > 4.0%
  • Spam Complaint Rate > 0.08%
  • Unsubscribe Rate > 1.5%

5. Compliance & Termination

Kuruma Ventures reserves the right to monitor outgoing traffic headers to ensure compliance. We maintain a direct feedback loop with major ISPs (Google, Yahoo, Microsoft).

If an upstream provider (e.g., Mailgun, AWS SES) flags a Tenant's traffic, Kuruma Ventures will immediately sever the API connection and retain all logs for legal review.
